Daisy B. Kurtz, 1904-2003, Raymore

Daisy Belle Watson Kurtz, 99, of Raymore, formerly of Sweet Springs, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at Raymore Health Care, where she had resided since 1996.

Mrs. Kurtz was born April 9, 1904, in Nelson, a daughter of Charles and Edith Griffith Watson. On Feb. 19, 1927, she was married to Walter "Bob" Kurtz, who died on Jan 30, 1984.

Mrs. Kurtz was raised and educated in Sedalia. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sweet Springs.

Surviving are two sons, Bobbie Charles Kurtz, of Peculiar, and Bill Kenneth Kurtz, of Osage Beach; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by five siblings.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs.

Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the church or to the cemetery.
